What is collected

Ordinary server logs: the page requested, the time, the browser string, and the IP address. They keep the site running and help spot abuse. They are rotated and discarded on a schedule, never sold, and never used to build a profile of you.

PIPEDA, in plain language

This site is operated from British Columbia and handles personal information the way Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) describes: collect the minimum necessary, use it only for the purpose it was collected for, keep it only as long as needed, and let people ask what is held about them. On this site that is a log line and, if you write to me, your email. Ask and I will delete it.

Advertising cookies

This website itself does not set advertising cookies and runs no analytics pixel. The site does run small search advertisements, and the advertising platform sets its own cookies when you click an ad and browse elsewhere. Those cookies belong to the platform, not to this site; their purpose is to measure and target advertising across the web. You can block or clear them in your browser or in the platform's ad settings, and this site will keep working either way.
